John Kuhn is a founding partner of the law firm of Kuhn & Kuhn, LLC and is a former State Senator of South Carolina. Sen. Kuhn earned his Juris Doctor degree from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. There, he also met his wife and law partner, Shea Kuhn, a native of Charleston.

John Kuhn is a member of the following associations: Charleston County and American Bar Association, South Carolina Bar (Estate Planning and Probate Section), Association of South Carolina Trial Lawyers and the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys.

John Kuhn is a frequent speaker on estate planning topics, and regularly presents educational seminars for public and private audiences. He is extremely knowledgeable in the field of estate planning and strives for excellence in assisting all of his clients with their personal planning needs.

John Kuhn grew up on a farm in El Centro, California, where he learned the schedule of a laborer and the fruits of hard work. He is married to his college sweetheart and has three small children. He is a Board member of the MUSC College of Nursing and remains active in his community. In his leisure time, Sen. Kuhn enjoys reading, fishing, boating, and golf.
